Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg visits Spark Energy

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg was in the Scottish Borders today to visit Spark. Touring our Selkirk headquarters, he spoke to many of the 200 plus staff who work here.
Spark CEO Chris Gauld said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Deputy Prime Minister here today. Following on from a visit from Scotland’s First Minister in June, we see these occasions as recognition that we are getting it right - employing over 200 people in an area which has major employment challenges, bettering the Big Six for customer service, breaking the 100,000 customer barrier and showing that there is a very important role for independent suppliers in ensuring beneficial competition in the energy market.”
