Direct Debit is our most popular payment method. And, because it's always our cheapest way to pay, you could save money too! With a predictable monthly payment amount, paying by Direct Debit gives you peace of mind.
If you'd like to pay on receipt of a monthly bill, that's okay too. You can see a list of ways to settle your bill below.
If you're a Smart Pay As You Go customer, you can now benefit from the following features:
- Download our free Swift app so that you can top-up at the tap off a button without leaving your house
- Top-up from anywhere - Register online for Smart Pay with your unique top up code to top up online, on your phone or from your local PayPoint
- Friendly credit - Making sure your supply stays live (until 8am) if you run out of credit overnight, on a weekend or a bank holiday
- Emergency credit - Each meter comes with £5 emergency credit
- In Home Energy Display - No need to go to the cupboard to check your credit status or your recent usage, your IHD will display all this information for you!

Send a cheque or postal order
Send a cheque payable to ‘Spark Energy Ltd’, to Spark Energy, Ettrick Riverside, Dunsdale Road, Selkirk, TD7 5EB. Quote your customer account number on the back of the cheque or postal order so we know which account to credit.

Paying monthly? - Your bill explained
If you've chosen to pay your bills by cash or card, you'll receive a monthly bill, normally in the first week of the month. Your bill will show you how much energy you've used, and how much you need to pay.

Paying by Direct Debit? - Your statement explained
If you've chosen to pay by Direct Debit you won't receive a monthly bill. Instead, you'll get a statement every three months to easily keep track of your account.
