A helping hand
The Spark Fund
The 2017/2018 Spark Fund is now closed.
We’re only able to provide help via the Spark Fund to a limited number of customers each year and we’ve now reached our maximum quota.
The Spark Fund is aimed at helping customers who've fallen behind on their energy payments get
back on track and remain debt free. It’s just one of the ways we offer a helping hand to
customers who're struggling to pay their gas and/or electricity bill.
If you've already applied for the Spark Fund, there are a few rules on who can qualify for the scheme and we will need you to provide us with some evidence in the future - this just helps us assess your application.
What happens if my application is successful?
If your energy account is in debt and your application is approved, the fund will pay off some or all
of the money you owe by making a payment directly into your Spark account for your gas or electricity. For example, in some circumstances we could set up an arrangement so that when you make a payment into your account, the Spark Fund will also make a payment - together, we can pay off your debt quicker. But don’t worry, we’ll get in touch to discuss this in more detail and set up an agreement that works for you.
What happens if my application is unsuccessful?
If your application is unsuccessful, then unfortunately you’re currently not eligible for the Spark Fund.
If your circumstances change at any point and/or you think you match the criteria shown below, please apply again. Please note that the decision on each application is final and there is no way to appeal.
Sometimes, a little extra help can make all the difference when it comes to managing your energy.
