What to look out for
We want to make sure that your bills are as accurate as possible. To help keep things right we’ll send MDS to read your meter once every three months. It’s still a good idea to read your own meters regularly and you can send meter readings to us through our website or by calling our automated service on 0345 130 8966.
MDS will always carry an ID badge and wear a uniform like the ones in the photographs below so that you know who they are.
If you’re in any doubt you can call the MDS customer service team on 0191 201 3500 with your house number and postcode as well as the MDS staff ID number which will be printed on their card. They'll be able to verify the identity of the agent and put your mind at rest.
