With a full Home Health Report, get advice that could save you energy and money
Your local qualified Energy Expert will carry out a thorough home assessment. They'll send you a personalised Home Health Report telling you what we've learned, and what you could do to help you save energy and money.
The service is in association with Energy Saving Trust and also includes a new Energy Performance Certificate, and is usually £100. But OVO customers can currently book a visit for £25.

Here’s what you’ll get
A home visit from a qualified OVO Energy Expert
Our Energy Experts are qualified home energy assessors. They'll go room-by-room, carrying out a top-to-bottom review of your home's energy efficiency. Think of it just like a health check for your home.
They'll take the time to understand your home and any future plans you have for it, as well as answering any questions you have on the day.
What to expect on the dayPersonalised advice in a Home Health Report
You'll be sent this thorough report by email - or if you have Beyond you'll be able to see the report in your app. 94% of customers found the report easy to understand.3
It'll give you advice on the steps you could take to make your home more energy efficient – from insulation to switching your boiler for a heat pump. And it'll include details of funding that may be available to you. We’ll follow up with more advice on how OVO can support you in making your home greener.

This officially recognised certificate grades how energy efficient your home is. And it tells you what your cost savings and carbon savings would be if you made your home more energy efficient. We’ll register your certificate with the government to make it official.2
Having a valid, current EPC can be a crucial part of applying for grants, selling your home, or getting solar panels installed.

The Energy Expert will confirm when they’re nearby. When they arrive, their goal is to show you how to improve your home’s efficiency.

Your Energy Expert will check features like walls and windows, and ask you questions to understand how you use energy at home.
Get a personalised Home Health Report
Once your visit's been paid for, we'll send your thorough Home Health Report. It'll tell you what we've learned about your home, along with the ways you can make it more energy efficient.
Receive your Energy Performance Certificate
Your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) shows your home's energy rating on a scale from A (very efficient) to G (inefficient).

Our Energy Experts currently cover around 90% of the UK's population. Areas we don't cover yet include Northern Ireland, Leicestershire, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Central and West Wales and some parts of Devon, East Anglia, South and North Wales, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire and the Scottish Highlands
You can also use our postcode checker which can be found on the OVO Energy Experts booking page of your energy account. We’re continuously looking to expand so check back soon.
Someone 18 years old or older will need to be at the property for the Energy Expert visit which can take up to 2 hours (depending on the size of your property).
OVO Energy cannot make any guarantee about the costs of the work required or any savings that can be made. Any decisions about investment in energy efficiency measures should be made following further professional advice and a site visit by the contractor. We suggest getting at least three quotes before making the decision to undertake any work.
